Raleigh airport is 2 hrs. away and the drive is all 4 lanes from Raleigh airport to Wrightsville Beach. http://www.rdu.com . Raleigh rush hour traffic is pretty serious.
Myrtle Beach airport is about 2 hrs. away but in May the vacation traffic can be serious.
Wrightsville Beach is 4 hrs. south of Richmond, Va (all 4 lanes) and 1 and ½ hrs. north of North Myrtle Beach, SC. I-40 ends very near Wrightsville Beach. HWYS 74-76 from I-95 are 4 lanes to Wrightsville Beach. Since last time many of you have raced here, a new bypass west and south of the Cape Fear River has been built. You no longer drive through the middle of Wilmington. Watch for the signs to save about 25 mins.
