"GIDDY UP"

TRAVEL UPDATES:

  • From the north on I-95. Watch for NEW I-795 near Goldsboro, NC. It connects to I-40 and will save you 45 minutes.

  • From the south on 74/76/17. Watch for new bypass around Wilmington near Cape Fear River. Follow signs to Wrighstville Beach.

UPDATES:

  • You must be an active member of the International Laser Class Association (See 5.1 NOR). Please get your membership current or be prepared to join at registration with a check or cash.

  • Each master age group will display a colored band wrapped around his mast (See 4.1 NOR). These will be attached around the lower mast section with rubber bands before stepping your mast. If you forget, you may use duct tape after stepping your mast. Colored bands and rubber bands will be provided.

  • Label your gear! It all looks alike to us. Good luck buddy if you leave something here. The boat yard is not locked.

  • Once again we will have a "LAUNCH ONLY" area guarded with tough volunteers. Once you enter this zone, you're in the water and out to the ocean.

  • THANKS TO ALL THOSE WHO PRE-REGISTERED ONLINE!

Thanks for your cooperation.

Weather/winds and interest permitting, there will be a practice in the Atlantic, Thursday, May 14th around 2ish give or take a couple of minutes. We will run starts and .5 mile upwind legs then back downwind.  Practice area will be just north of the  sea buoy at the mouth of Masonboro Inlet.

To get to those great photos of the 2005 Laser US Nationals at Wrightsville Beach, NC, go to http://www.robjones.smugmug.com/ and select that race. There are 300+ of them but they get good once the sea breeze came up.
