2007 US Laser Masters National Championships
May 18-20, 2007

• Drawbridge & weekend traffic- Drawbridge opens on the hr. for recreational boats & on demand for commercial/gov’t vessels. Heavy bch. traffic & parking demand on Sat/Sun-allow extra 30 mins. to your travel time if bridge is up
  
  
• Boat ramps- 2 on premises of club
  
  
• Docks- Designated dock areas for RC, chase & judge boats-please watch signs on dock
  
  
• Parking- CYC-NC lot (free) for competitors-additional metered parking on Waynick Blvd.- $1.50/hr, 9-6 pm, quarters only
  
  
• Trailer parking- free nearby storage off premises-No trailers in parking lot
  
  
• Locker rooms, showers -open all day to all visitors
   
• Food for non-sailors: walking distance from CYC-NC
  
              Robert’s grocery- N. Lumina-1/2m. N of club- Deli & groceries
              Trolley Stop- 1/2m. N of club-hot dogs, chips, softdrinks
              Kohl’s- ice cream and fast food sandwiches-near Trolley Stop
              South Beach Grill- Waynick Blvd. eat inside or outside-1/4 m. N. of club          
              Oceanic Pier- S. Lumina on ocean-watch races while eating-1 m. S of club
              Tower 7- S. Lumina across from Wings-Tex Mex & cold beer
              Café del Mar- next to Tower 7-coffee shop & internet connections
  
  
• Water-Chase boats will have water, but be sure and take some of your own
  
  
• ATM-(1)bldg on backside of Kohl’s  &  (2)front of Robert’s groceries-
  
  
• Medical Emergencies-MEDAC-1442 Military Cut-off Rd-emergency clinic
  
  
• 2 Convenience/gas stores are located on Wrightsville Beach
  
  
• Pets: Dogs are not permitted at CYC-NC or on the beachfront at Wrightsville Beach.
  
  
• DUI laws strictly enforced on the island-particularly when your license tag is out of state and your car is swerving
  
  
• Nursery and playground for young children on premises
  
  
• No camping on premises please
  
  
• Things to do for the NON-SAILOR in your party:
  
              The “LOOP”- sidewalk walking/jogging trail/rollerblading- 2. 45 miles in length
              located in center of town, crossing Banks Channel twice
              Town of Wrightsville Beach Parks- one is next to town hall- playground, tennis             courts; -second mini-park is across from WINGS
               Water Taxi-rides to Masonboro Island-200-4002-Masonboro Island is an             uninhabited island south of Wrightsville Beach-shells, beachcombing
              Sailing Center-Waynick Blvd. across from Blockade Runner-Hobie rentals,
              kayak rentals
              Go-Carts: Jungle Rapids-Oleander Dr., Wilmington
              Bike & surfboard rentals-1/4 m. N of club-Wrightsville Beach Company
              Shopping-Lumina Station on Eastwood Dr: Mayfare on Military-Cut-off Rd.
